Day 16 – Short Nikko post

Went to Nikko over the weekend, so short post today because had a long day and am knackered:

Nikko is a tourist town
Nikko has more buildings rusted to hell than most of the small towns I’ve been to
Nikko is a very sleepy place – everything shuts at half 5 except the restaurants which shut at 8. Luckily the family restaurant is open til 2am. Party on dude.
Nikko runs approximately 3-4 minutes behind Japanese standard time. (First consistently late buses I’ve ever encountered) Must be the altitude…
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to build a road that climbs 800m up a mountain????
