Internets! New Room! Excitement!

I’m back, ladies and gentlemen. After a long break, I finally have both internets (thank you Plusnet person ^_^) and Chachamaru is provisionally working (though she has been hiccuping a little with her new hard drive). Unfortunately, I really don’t have the spare cash to get her a complete overhaul, so this’ll have to do for now.

I’m in London over the weekend, so I’ll be starting my real posting on Monday. But, in the meantime, I thought I’d give you a glimpse into my real life. Not that it would interest you or anything, but its only natural with an ego the size of mine ~_~

My new house out in the sticks is finally almost done (has a TV and everythin’). And this is my new room!

As you can see, the furniture is very much Ikea (I didn’t really have a choice in the matter, but I’m not objecting ^_^) Yes, it is mess. Yes, I know I don’t have any posters up. The reason is that we spent a good while painting this room and somehow after painting it, I really don’t want to stick Blutack on the walls. This feeling will probably last about 5 more days till I succumb to the desire to plaster my walls with yuri babes…

These are our plushies

From left to right, Sayuri (the anteater), Brr (the hedgehog) Gao (the stegosaurus), Pengi (the penguin) and Bllblblblblbbl (the octopus). AWOL is Ducky (down the side of the bed) and Pang (the glyptodon – at Holly’s).

And this is my (cleaner than usual) desk. Note the arrows. This gives a pretty good impression of my daily life really (anime, trying to learn Japanese, failing to do any kind of independant study for medicine)

And that concludes the fairly short tour of my new room! Now for some various announcements:

  • Postings will resume on Monday
  • yuribou.net is 1 year old! Unfortunately, that means bill for hosting -_-. If anyone feels virtuous, they can donate some money towards my hosting bill ($100/£60) by using the Donate button at the bottom of the sidebar. Also, I am thinking of doing some other fundraising for hosting, possibly involving T-shirts depending on interest. Stay tuned for more details.
  • Nothing else!
