New computer struggling into life – Time for naming suggestions

Haado Disku Erraru!!
Ohw. New computer is struggling very very hard to come to life. Might have lost all the data from the old computer.. lalala.. (not-quite)Dr Yuribou is working hard to make it better. But I think the problem might be this… IT NEEDS A NAME! As you (probably) know the old computer was called Chachamaru, but the new one needs a new robot-related name. (That is NOT Chachamaru II). We are welcoming suggestions from you all. Please help onegaishimasu!!

Well if it’s robo-ish names you seek, I can think of a few…
a. Jan-Puu (Kashimashi)
b. Mahoro (Mahoromantic)
c. Arale, or Arare if you like the original Japanese pronounciation (Dr. Slump)
d. Aegis (SMT Persona 3)
e. Tesse (Galaxy Fight, P.S. she pre-dates Mahoro as an early Robo-maid, wiki it!)
f. Alpha or Kokone (YKK)
Those are the first robo girls that that come to my mind…

KOS-MOS(Xenosaga)
Miyu(Mai-HiME)

Minawa (Mahoromatic)
Miharu (D.C.)

Forgot…
May, Sara, Rena, Kei, or Mami (Hand Maid May)

Seeing as this is yuribou, I shall recommend lezbot herself, Nakajima Subaru from Nanoha StikerS.
November 28th, 2007 @ 12:10 am
Ropponmatsu
November 28th, 2007 @ 5:05 am
Chii(Chobits)
November 28th, 2007 @ 5:43 am
Nagatochan

I place my vote for Chi (Chobits)! And for Dorothy (Big O)!

Kurumi, Saki, or Karinka – Steel Angel Kurumi

Doesn’t that read “Haado Desuku Eraa desu”?
As for a name, at the very least translating a number should do
ã‚ュウニゴ
シニãƒã‚¯

Pillowcase: 925426? Any particular significance in that number, or just random and felt the need to see if katakana worked in the comments box?
Anyway, I shall suggest a couple myself – Nagato and Asakura of Haruhi fame…

Kezu.
Short, simple and cute!

Hi.
Good design, who make it?
November 28th, 2007 @ 5:48 pm
Kokone (from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, if you’ve read it then great, if you haven’t then GO READ IT. or at least watch the OVA.)
it’s great, because she has a platonic-bordering-on-intimate sort of love for the main character, also a female robot. and we all know what platonic-bordering-on-intimate means….

I would have to recommend matoko kusanagi (ghost in the shell.
She does take adversity very well lol

Yuribou: A little bit of both I guess, I was trying to make combinations that sounded good.
As no one seems to have mentioned it yet, what about ãƒã‚» from サイカノ? Not a robot per se but close enough in my opinion
November 29th, 2007 @ 3:23 pm
Aiko (the android from Magipoka).

I guess Roboko from Paniponi Dash is out. All the characters from the Saber Marionette series are possibilities, though (Lime, Cherry, Bloodberry…). And don’t forget Sigel from AMG.
(I hope you save all these suggestions for future reference.)

i’d say either Nagato or Miyu :3
if u had a pair Nagato and Asakura would have been nice…/me drifts off into fantasy

I would say Miyu(Mai-HiME) it’s even an acronym.

Have no idea what you would like it to be called, but just want to say I think it’s freaking adorable that you treat your computer like your baby. End story.
November 29th, 2007 @ 11:24 pm
Chachazero.
November 30th, 2007 @ 12:31 am
Actually, my laptop is already called chachazero…

I’d suggest either Chii or Chachamaru. Two of the best gynoids in manga. Meself, I always name my computer SkyNet.

Thanks for your comments Meidofan – glad to be getting new readers ^_^
Unfortunately, my previous (broken) computer was Chachamaru, so my new one has been named Miyu instead – after all, I’m thinking of fixing Chachamaru at some point…
