And after the insanity of the previous post, we come back thankfully to something altogether more normal and wholesome – Bukkake.
Well known as the “second most common word people will come up with when asked about Japanese pornography (after tentacles)”, bukkake has become entrenched in Western porn-speak; conjuring images of poor girls on their knees with scrunched up eyes as hundreds of men recruited from the street for a tenner (or who paid to be there, God forbid) take turns to pump their salty man chowder onto an already-overflowing face.
Thankfully, the actual meaning of the word in the original Japanese is a lot more innocent. The original meaning is “splash” and does indeed refer to a man ejecting protein shake into a girl’s face. However, probably due to the habit of taking the most extreme meanings of foreign words, American pornography directors watched films entitled “bukkake” which were obviously films themed on ejaculating into girl’s faces and adopted this meaning.
In Western pornography, bukkake is otherwise known as the “money shot” as a sex scene without a money shot is about as useful as a root beer vending machine in the middle of the desert. It is interesting to consider why most money shots these days end up with the man pasting his mark on the girl’s face rather than elsewhere. I mean, there’s a fantastic coice of body parts – breasts, tummy, genitals, back, buttocks, feet. Why particularly the face?
The most obvious argument that comes to mind is one that comes up again and again in this context – the position of the man standing over the woman and her letting him squirt noxious liquids onto her precious face is in some cases undoubtedly a Dominant/submissive act. If not, then there is definitely a degree of male dominance associated with it. And as the Western pornography audience is 99.9999% male, there is a definite advantage in pandering to their tastes. And what men generally desire to see in pornography is a fantasy – i.e. a girl who is forward, down and dirty in the bedroom but who will get down on her knees and obey orders when you tell her to. And smile up at you afterwards, lick her lips and say you tasted of roses.

A lot of things about the money shot scene point to this catering to male tastes. The fact that the man often masturbates with the girl on her knees before emphasises that it is only the man that is getting fulfilled, mostly at the expense of the girl. The position of the girl below the man is a general position of submission and the defacing of the facial features rather than any other part of the body definitively puts the girl in the submissive role.
So how have we come from this to full blown extreme bukkake?
As with everything in life, there always exists someone who will take something and put it to the extreme. You’ve only got to look at the British extreme Ironing team to believe that. Just as there are fetishes in hentai manga for those people who like impossibly sized breasts or impossibly well endowed men, the niche exists for those that prefer to see their women glistening in the spent efforts of hundreds of faceless men.
In short, it is an absolutely submissive act. There could be no part of a gang bukkake that could even remotely indicate that the girl was secretly a Domme – who got her kicks from making men lose control of themselves onto her face – possibly for skin moisturisation reasons. In submitting to this kind of act, the girl loses her place in the cast and basically becomes a tool; a piece of furniture to be used – rather reminiscent of the topic I was talking about earlier this week on body remodelling. And men who like these kind of girls will find themselves inexplicably drawn to this kind of perversion.
And especially in hentai doujinshi, where the physical laws do not apply, the sheer volume of one serving of proteinaceous goop lends a whole new aesthetic factor to the entire thing.
Suffice to say – bukkake is something teetering on the borders between fantasy and reality. Something, in other words, that a man would like to do, a woman might allow him to do and the aftermath of which is a half hour in the shower removing said Something from hair.

Bukkake is just the thing that turns me on, not what I am into. Two completely different things. I have no desire to participate in such an event. In fact, in real life, I am pretty much a clean freak, so bukkake is somewhat of an opposite. Similarly, I revere women and admire those women described as “strong.” I don’t feel any need to dominate women, and don’t mind being in a lower position than them (financially, publicly, interpersonally). Bukkake is my fetish because it is the opposite of what I am, and therefore, more SEXUALLY arousing. There are many others who have fetishes because they represent the opposite extreme of themselves.
