Yurivision Final!!! Konoka/Setsuna Vs. Nanoha/Fate

Through all the politics and slander that usually plagues Yurivision we come at last to the final round – where girls become women and women become…err…slightly more satisfied women. Two couples have gotten this far, but only one can walk away with the title of Yuri Snog of the Year!
So let’s get down to it then.
Their path to the final was plagued by accusations of underhand behaviour…paparazzi claimed to have found performance-enhancing drugs in their dressing room which were later found to be Sherbet Lemons, but they’re here now and aching to please (each other). It’s Konoe Konoka and Sakurazaki Setsuna from Mahou Sensei Negima!!
And totally oblivious to their opponents, a couple who have had an easy time of it so far, breezing through their heat and their semi final with ease…they’re both mages of the Time Space Administration Bureau, but we all know the real magic happens between the sheets – Takamachi Nanoha and Fate Testarossa of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha!!
Two days of voting starts now and ends 0000 BST on June 10th! Good luck all!

I would vote for kono/setsu if I knew who they were! I’m probably the only fan in the world who likes the first season of Nanoha best because it was uncomplicated by all the other characters and just focused on the beautiful, beautiful relationship between Nanoha and Fate.

As much as I support KonoSetsu, I highly doubt they are going to win. Most of the people here are just out for revenge. I’m not going to rant about how unfair this is, but I will say this:

Methinks the Kono/Setsu fans might be a little defensive here, considering that the Negima pair’s wins have been a TAD close (scraping by with single digit wins twice in a row in the eleventh hour?)- yet no one’s done anything more than howl in anguish at their favoured pair(s) going down.
By no means is Nanoha/Fate among my top 10 favourite couples (or even top 50… yes, I like me my girls) but that doesn’t mean I don’t like them, and I resent the insinuation that my vote is an “ANYTHING BUT Kono/Setsu” vote. Why can’t Nanoha/Fate fans simply be voting for their preferred couple?
At any rate … I have utter faith that when I wake up tomorrow morning, the distance between the pairs will have shrunk to a negligible difference. Kono/Setsu fans, don’t disappoint me! Make this close ! It’s not fun otherwise!

Rie- Everyone has their own likes and dislikes. Yuri doesn’t always have to be lovers. I support pairings that aren’t lovers. Wouldn’t it get boring if the pairs you wanted to get together really did get together? Their’s not of a point.I’m not doubting or flaming KonoSetsu but preferably i like Nanoha/Fate better. i think a lot of you guys have it in your head that were voting against konosetsu cause were mad at you guys. WERE NOT. we enjoy nanohaxfate. you may have noticed this by the way we like, you know, ARE IN THE FINALS. im using caps now since you guys seem to have permantly fused your pinkies into the shift button, in an attempt to show your displeasure. but ill quote what i said on 4chan:
theres a big FANDUM WARZ going on cause everyone is pissed at the fact konosetsu went through LOL so theyre voting for nanoha fate.. least thats what the konosetsu fans think, but the reality is that nanofate really is a popular couple now, its from a realitively new anime (what i mean is its still running) and there is a good amount of fanart being cranked out even as we speak, so dont get all upset konosetsu fans, were just being faithful = }

A nightmare for me, that Konoka/Setsuna had to face off against Nanoha/Fate. I was thinking about just not voting for this final round since both pairs are so wonderful and Kya~ and I just couldn’t decide.
The Konosetsu fans, however, are just getting way too out of hand. As littlered said, don’t just throw trash at Nanoha/Fate. I mean, they had to get through some popular pairs as well to reach the finals so the same “revenge” factor that you suggest could be going against them too. Again, COULD.
All that said, even though Konosetsu is awesome, I voted for Nanoha/Fate. Because adult Fate is hot. …I kid, of course.

Maybe i didn’t make that clear on my last comment but not everyone hates the coupling. I mean i like them, just not as much as Nanoha and Fate. Voted KonoSetsu, because they are love. Hard hard decision, because Nanoha/Fate are equally love, and I’m that much of a die-hard supporter of the MSLN franchise that I’m still watching StrikerS and hoping for good things to come.(On a slightly related note – Teana/Subaru eh? I can see that…)

To be honest I’m surprised that Nanoha/Fate is as popular as they are… but that’s just because I just so happened to pop across MSLN and the second season because of Tamara Yukari. Hell, I wasn’t even looking for any yuri but at the end of the first season I was like, “They’re so cute… is this supposed to be a pairing or…?”
That said, Nanoha has *three* seasons, progressing from 13 episodes to the current one which will be 26… you don’t make anime into three seasons if it sucked hardcore. :) To think that they’re not a canon pairing either, even though all signs point to it.
This was a pretty difficult choice for me since I like Negima (the manga), but N&F are my girls… and there’s a grown up version too!

As the host of this competition, I approve of this controversy – Euro…ahem I mean Yurivision should always be plagued with political voting and things not working as they should!

Regardless, I’ve been rooting for Nanoha/Fate to make it to the finals since their first round and I have the reply to prove it. I desperately hope they will win. KonoSetsu is a wonderful pairing (the only reason I’ve watched every sad excuse of a Negima anime to date) but they are no match in my mind for the twintails.

As much as I have respect for KonoSetsu, for me its very clear that NanoFate wins. Its very true that they have minimal relationship in the first season but as you go through the third season, they actually have a daughter together (adopted, of course), so its very clear NanoFate beats KonoSetsu. Gomen Ne~!
